3.7 cubes after port displacement with 48 square inches of port

vs

3.2 cubes after port displacement with 56 square inches of port.

Fi SSD 15"

I know it probably wouldn't be a huge difference but which would get louder?

In one you sacrifice air space but gain port space and the other you gain air space but sacrifice port space.

So what I'm trying to say is which is more important when figuring loudness?

umm i would say 3.2 but dont quote me on it... smaller box more port is ussaly how comp boxes are.. that is the only reason i say it

The 3.7 cube one will have higher efficiency, so it'll get as loud on less power, but then it'll also run into mechanical limits with less power also. It will also improve the lowend a little, which is where the perceived loudness is. For overall loudness I think it depends on how much power you have and if you can reach mechanical limits in either box.
