Ok, im looking to buy some comps for my car

The subs stage is a 15" fully loaded BTL and Hifonics 2600 amp

The car is a 2000 Hyundai Sonata

6.5" speakers.

Im thinking of doing some of the alpine type Rs in the front and keep the rears stock for a while, so what i think.

when i had my 2 15" alpine type r subs, i was fine with my stock speakers, is that weird? lol

all the "gangsters" i know run duals

ive listened to the type r's and dont like them they are also not that efficient so they dont get that loud. whats your budget and what do you have to power them.

cheap and should get loud speakers and amp. the speakers are a 2ohm set of comps so you will get 100wrms x 2 out of the amp. the speakers have a sensitivity of 93db @ 1w/1m so they will be efficient. they both have free shipping so the total is less than $160 so you can get some wire and rca's.

i dont care who the fudge you know

awwwwww you dont like fudge?

maybe you should get some chronic audio speakers.

those cadence ones look pretty sweet, the amp looks nice too,

what all else do i need? like you said "wires and rcas"

big jons said these dont like a lot of power, but their dope cheap right now and im looking at getting a pair soon.

CDT 6.5 on WooferEtc

pg rsd components are also a very good option. can be found for about 80 bucks.

Not trying to thread jack or anything.

But components only need a 2 channel amp right?

So if the amp puts out 2x100rms @ 2ohms would each mid and tweet be seeing 50 rms?

if the component set was, lets say, 4 ohms and the amp was 100x2 at 4 ohms it would send each side 100 watts then the cross over splits it up between the tweet and mid. how much power they really see is alittle more complicated and i cant explain it...

Have to be careful with your wording here, as the crossover splits up the frequencies between the tweet and mid, not the power. Both the tweet and mid would still receive 100 watts each. This is because they aren't playing the same frequencies.

what would new speakers that arent amped compare to what i got stock in my hyundai sonata 2000?

I'm not doubting you here, but why is that? If you hook two subs up to an amp it would split the power between the two, right? Why would it work differently with the comps?

Because they play different frequencies, as I said. An amplifier will put out 100 watts across the whole frequency range. If you have one speaker playing 0-5khz, it will get 100 watts. Then if you have another speaker playing 5khz-20khz, it will get 100 watts. It's just like if you only had one speaker playing the whole frequency range. That's how the amp sees it, anyways. It's the same reason why they have both a 4 ohm mid and 4 ohm tweeter in the component set, but the whole system is still rated for 4 ohms, not 2. But with subs, they are playing the same stuff, so that 100 watts has to get divided into two drivers, and those individual 4 ohm subs would be 2 ohms if wired in parallel.
