Hey everyone I've been trying to mock up an enclosure for my truck in Sketch Up for 'bout a month now. I originally wanted to do 8 DC Sound Labs Level 3 12's. I really like DC audio and I have capabilities to get them at low costs. I wanted to do a 4th order but, I've been doing different designs and punching everything in to a 4th order calculator and using WinISD. I'm sorta stuck with ideas.

Here's a rapid share of the usuable airspace and how the box would be shaped...a shell in a sense.

mucho grasis, thank you, danke shon!

I wanna stay using DC subs but I can change things around. I have a DD Z1 to power them so with good voltage I have a bit over 5k on tap.

my voltage will be sufficient, 300 amp mech man alt, (4) 2400 kinetiks, two runs of 1/0 welding cable to kinetiks

could you refer me to any links where I could do some more reading on the design of a 4th order. I have read a lot and have been tinkering but I am still having difficulties.

btw that must have been fun and sounded great.

maybe I should be more specific. I know a good deal about the construction of them...I would like to know if anyone could shed some light to me on how to get my calculations correct and not have crazy high gain from the enclosure so I don't destroy my subs and with a decent bandwidth response from the enclosure.

I like my lows, not looking to go all out SPL for competition. I've been tinkering with an s factor of 0.7 and low tuning, but only to have very high gain...

a quasi sixth order i think would be best if designed correctly but winisd cant do it. bbp6 can but it cost a bit. you might beable to have thumpper or bjfish design a box for you just give them the dimensions the goal and the equipment and they can send you a blueprint. the quasi sixth order would be like a ported box firing into another box that has a port just use the blowthrew as the port for the second box and you will be good to go.

this was an actual idea in my head. I'm new on here not familar with the members yet, but I'll contact them maybe.

a quasi-sixth can be tri-chambered? like each side of the enclosure would be where the subs are and then the center is the area that would port via blow through.
