Crazy, stupid, or cool?

Thinking about doing wall with 2 18's.

Not for spl, just daily pounding.

I do believe it has been done before and I am certain I saw the pics on mr. meades website. It was with 2 18" RE MT's.

I've seen it done before, Not a big fan of walling a small hatback cars(especially a CRX)...

Sell the REX to someone who competes seriously in street/stock classes and wall something else

I've looked for a decent CRX for years..

They don't need to be walled, their hatches are already stupid loud.

a pair of tens in a really well designed box with a decent amount of power will get louder than you think in that car. if you want to do a wall id suggest doing it right and getting a van put like 6 mj18m's in there tuned to 28hz and rattle your eyes out. i suggest the mj's because they are a good and very affordable 18 and with the space in a van why not use more cone area than 2 18's for about the same price.

The crx that I saw that was walled had 6 15's and it wasn't any more impressive than many regular dual 12 setups in rex's

sorry to bring up and old thread.. but you'll get louder non wallwd in a crx style box woofers up, port back then walling.. I had a crx for a long time and tried all types of setups. My favorite overall were 2 tc sounds built ecclipse ti-9122 12's off an AMerican bass xd3000.. PLENTY loud good luck, Joe..

If you just want daily\moving some air. Go ahead and do 18's wallled. However, you can be just as loud with a pair of 12's or 3 or even some 10's. So the choice is yours. But you will not be louder walled.

Trust me Cookiemonster is plenty loud enough with 2 12's in his Civic. Try almost 156 db loud! I think that he was wanting to wall his rex for wow factor and a loud daily setup that plays the lows well too. Iirc he has also done almost a 154 in his rex with 2 12's, and just recently he did a 150.3 with 2 Nightshade 12's and a single saz1500d. I think that if he wants to wall it he should, cause you just don't see it. If I had a vehicle that I was able to wall I would.
