Posted January 26, 200916 yr I am looking for a fuse holder that will hold 2 ANL fuses that has one 1/0 in and one 1/0 out.Do they exist? or am I stuck?I am using the Stinger 3/0 oval wire to the battery bank in the back, I just dont think a single 300 amp will be enough. Thanks
January 26, 200916 yr 1/0 will not support that much power two runs of 1/0 each with its own 300amp fuse.
January 26, 200916 yr Considering the fuse is there for protection, I don't see why you would want more than 300A, only in the case you have massive current draw for sustained periods of time. 3/0 can support it, but are you drawing in excess of 300A ?
January 26, 200916 yr ** Your wire needs to be the proper gauge/length to support certain fuse ratings... If not properly fused the wire can melt before the fuse blowscharts can be found on line for gauge requirements for any given load/length of wire.
January 26, 200916 yr If you have current draw in excess of 300a.. you need to be running more lines.
January 26, 200916 yr Author A pair of SAZ-3000D's and a pair of SAX-100.4'sI'm planning on 4 batteries in the rear and 1 up front, I just need the run from the front to the rear. Its going to be a run of the 3/0AWG wire, there isn't anything that I can find that will let me use more than one ANL fuse.
