Posted February 2, 200916 yr I may be buying Tirefryr's JBL BPX2200.1 if he still has it which i believe he does the last time i talked to him. Anyways what do you guys suggest i should do to my electrical system right now to handle it. Only gonna run it on one BL with the gain turned way down. So im thinking 2 runs on 0 from the front back and the red top i have in the back right now will handle it or am i sorely mistaken? I figure i could sell the 1200d to pay for the HO alternator but what do you guys suggest?
February 2, 200916 yr Could series the BL and run it at the highest load possible. That would cut down on power draw quite a bit.
February 2, 200916 yr ^^^ so true but if you take it easy you should be fine. most stock sutups (appart from cable upgrades will hande 1000RMS if you are carefull. Get that HO and things should be even better.

Something along the lines of a Powermaster D3100 + Big 3 + 1/0 is a good starting point

I figured that my current setup would hold fine with the gain down and i can always manage a 250+amp alternator if need be im sure it would hold fine like that with both my batteries.
February 3, 200916 yr Author im sitting here looking at knu wiring kits i may pick up two of there 1/0 kits. will it be that big of a benefit to have 2 runs. id think so bc id be able to pull around 500 amps from the front battery but i dont know if its really needed. February 4, 200916 yr For a daily application, I say it's not worth it. Get some welding wire, a fuse holder and be done with it cheaper. If you really want to do 2 runs of 1/0, run one positive and one negative.
