This post goes along with the one I asked about in the Amplifier forum.....

I've never heard of them, but the product looks beefy enough. And, for what my costs might be, I'm wondering if they would be worth taking a chance on dropping some coin on.

Massive QC15

I'd really like to try THIS monster out...... SQX 15

A "monster" motor doesn't mean loud, with most brands it is wasted Ferite. I'm not a fan of Massive.

60mm xmax, 101db eff rating, I doubt it....

ive seen some of their lower stuff put up ok numbers...

I'd go with something proven... Sundown, Fi, AA, ect.

go look at the SMD sub in the AA forum... thats the new chit.

I'd agree with that with most of the "monster" subs out there, but this claims to have 60mm of Xmax, and have a sensitivity of 101db.....

There is no way to be sure they aren't lying to sell product. You also can't base a woofers quality on two numbers.

The sub is most likly over-rated like their amps.... their 3k amp which probably does 2-2.5k is advertised as a 6k amp...

The older woofers were OK but I know nothing of the new ones... The Old DMX's were real efficient compared to most other "monster" woofers of the time

This is why I've gotta ask, I don't know these things, and I don't want to toss a couple grand out the window....

If you dont wanna waste the $, then first tell us your goals... spl/sq? room to work with? spending $...ect.

You cannot go wrong with any manf. that is on this forum... with top honors IMO going to sundown, Fi audio, Asendant Audio, Incriminator... in no particular order.

soo... what do you really want....?

The only Massive sub that looks somewhat promising is the DMX line.

I'm very happy with what I have now, far from overkill, plenty loud for my tastes.

Just saw them, looking to possibly play around with them a bit if the pricing was/is right.
