Posted February 10, 200916 yr i have a re audio sx sub and right now have an usamps md1d amp powering it. is this a good set up for mostly sq and let it bump a every now and then. then sub pushes 1000 watts rms
February 10, 200916 yr now if you really wanted too, that sub can take anywhere from 1500-2000 clean power, my bud pushed his se's to their max with about 1200 on them, the sx's sound great and get loud so yeep!
February 10, 200916 yr Author ya ive heard of people doing that but its a fairly new sub and its only a ten so im a lil nervous to give it that much plus the amp puts out 1200 at 1ohm atleast so it says
February 10, 200916 yr that should do well on mostly SQ. its a bit different if you want something for playing really loud or competition. my SX12 is powered by an MD1D and it still shakes my car a lot we have a lot of success with the RE SXs over here in the Philippines and i could say they could take power up to about 1,500 to 2,000 cleanly for music. and we were burping an SX18 with about 5,000 watts during competition with an spl box. it just depends on how you designed your system.
