March 22, 200916 yr Author You're right, 1.7 is pretty large for a single 10''. I'll be building a smaller box, about 1.25, when I go home for spring break. It might take a while though as I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed next monday Why do you want to go smaller?Because whenever I had someone in there with me they would complain on how cramped they were. The new box is 2.75'' shallower at the top, .5'' shallower at the bottom, 1.5'' taller, and 2'' less wide. Since it is only 28'' wide the lowest I could tune to was 40hz because I had to allow 4'' in between the sub and port. I'll get some pics up of the new box tomorrow.
March 24, 200916 yr how does it sound compared to the last one? and make over your excursion vid with the new box.. i feel the sub would be abit more controlled in the new / smaller box..this one..

I think I like ports up-firing better in my truck. It's weird though, whenever I'm driving by myself it is loud as hell for a single 10'' but then whenever someone is in the passenger seat it isn't loud at all. I'm talking to a couple guys over at ca.com about designing a blowthrough though. I'm thinking a dual 12'' setup and 3000w. I'll take another video soon.
