hmmmm...... where to start.....i know i have done this before but i havent really did it the right way, and in a manner that could be taken seriously.

i am planning an overhaul of my beetle i will be recieving in just under a year. (dont ask about the Contour, long story about that) i want firstly, to get a good system in it right off the bat. following that, i want to get a black paintjob, tints, and some spinners (total joke on that last one, for christ's sake itsa beetle!) you guys all know me well, i like it loud and cheap. but those dont always (rarely ever in fact) go together. i want to know if i could go to far as to three 12's across the backseat. i dont really want to be everyones taxi, especially with a beetle, so i wont miss it. now i know there is a question about the airspace needed for this to sound good, so help me out on that one, i need a few pointers as to how to get the bug rollin loud, but lookin good.

here is my plan: a nice, sexy, custom built box to fit all snuggly in my backseat and maybe into the trunk as well,

tuned around ~32hz i would like to go with icons for the 12's but that is a little pricey at this point so maybe some walmart pioneers as fillers til then.

rather than spending 40 or 50 dollars on throwaway walmart subs, look into something like RE SE12's. they are selling for like 100 dollars a piece and are actually GOOD subs and will work in similar boxes to the Icon's. this way you can just swap them out when the time comes instead of redoing the whole box? This way you can also recoup most of what you spent when you are done, instead of winding up with paperweights

One budget sub that really impressed me is the lowest series from Pioneer. I think it's the TSW-127.

my buddy has two of them, off of 200w rms in his wrx and for the amount he spent, (nezt to nothing) thay are excellent

What about Fi in my bug? Most certainly a 12, so i would have some room to mess aorund with in the future. I was thinkin BTL, but thats expensive, and you know, entirely impractical at this point. So i chipped and withered myself down through the awesome lines, down to the SSD. I was thinkin about 1) a single SSD on a SAZ-1500D @ 2 ohms until 2) i can afford another SSD. Just runnin' down some idea by you guys. Lemme know what you think

I am running 2 12" ssd's off of a kicker 1500.1. Sounds like a good idea to me.

My budget.........around $900-$1000 thats more that enough for a custom box by FC, a Hifonics BXi1608D , and two SSD 12's. but with what i have left over, i dont even know where to begin looking for an alarm..... any suggestions?

There's a cheap viper alarm in the SSA shop. Never used it or anything but i have heard good things about viper alarms.

and since ur looking for suggestion u can also do a single 15 or 18 like a lvl3 15 fron dc that wont hurt to much and sound well on limited power or the fi ssd work also just a bug in your ear..

now folks. you know me, i want an 18 so bad, i could be lured over a cliff if you put one on a stick and dangled it in front of me  but will it be able to breathe in the tiny bug?

a small sealed box like 2.5 would b nice loud and get the lows u want and the dc lvl 3 gets loud on low amounts of power or try a ssd..and arent that hard on the budget..this is in 15 of course...

is it possible to vent in the bug? or is that where we start running into issues?
