Single 6.5" mid is preferred, I'll be making baffles for my doors.

Maybe four tweeters? (Two per channel)

You want to build your own? Passive?

I would go for 2 pairs of mids before 2 pairs of tweeters. dual 6.5's and a tweeter per channel would work nicely, maybe a pair of peerless 830946 series wired for an 8 ohm load, combined with an 8 ohm tweeter wired in parallel or something. You would have to figure out a passive x-over though, probably easier to figure out something active

OR you could grab 2 pairs of those Mpyres that are floating around on ebay which come with passive x-overs and try to find a nice low playing tweeter to match up
