So, I'm been itching to build. But I still cant come up with a good design for the Uberwoofer for HT use.

By HT use, I mean an F3 <25 and a lowpass ~40. Action movies. heh. Any way you slice it, no more then 600rms to throw at her.

Thinking BIG Ported (although it's not easy to hide in a liviing room).

6.0ft^3 net, (3) 4" aeroports, tuned to 20hz. Gives me a nice knoll around 30-50hz, flat ~25 - 30, and an F3 around 18.

Maybe a dub tuned BP? 6ft one side, 2ft the other... small peak from 22-30 then steep roll off till 42ish on the high side and a low end f3 of 19ish.

A... nah, I dont have room to make a proper horn. I don't like TL's much. At least, I didnt like one IN car.

Its easy to hide a sub...

dummy side tables work well ;)

go folded horn...wuss.

that or get more amplifier power - 600 watts to an Uber is an insult. Triple that :)

;)

Enclosure built to Vas, tuned to Fs will yield and F3 of Fs.

yes dear, I know. Thank you though. ;)

I'm talking f3 around 15-18 ideally. This'll be 90% HT use - sports, movies, occasional vidiot game.
