March 7, 200916 yr Author What load are the coils on your T1? And what specifically is your price range?Sorry I honestly don't know what you mean by coils. As you can tell I really don't know much about car audio and I purchased the sub and box from ebay. The auction didn't say anything about coils. I'm looking for an amp in the $200-300 price range off ebay.edit: I looked at some other auctions for this same sub and here are a few specs...q Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 1.75 cu.ft.q Rec. Ported Box Dims: 2.25 cu.ft.q Free Air Usage: not recommendedq Sensitivity: 87.5 Dbq Frequency Response: n/aq Recommended RMS Power: 600Wq Peak Power Handling: 1200Wq Impedance: dual 4 ohms subwoofer wiring options Edited March 7, 200916 yr by stack_of_benjamins
March 10, 200916 yr sundown audio 1200d is onsale and will be better than any of the amps your looking at.
March 10, 200916 yr The impendance is the load on the coils. On the specs you posted from the other listing means its a dual 4, which can be wired at 2 or 8 ohms.
March 10, 200916 yr Get a refurb rockford T3002 and run it at 2 ohms bridged. You can find them floating around for about 150 shipped and they will put out a solid 800 watts into a 2 ohm load. The T1 does NOT handle 1200 watts rms. I can tell you right now that even my T2 could barely handle that kind of power in a daily apphttp://cgi.ebay.com/ROCKFORD-FOSGATE-300W-...1QQcmdZViewItemFor the money, you can not beat these
March 10, 200916 yr I must argue about the T1 not taking 1200 rms. A buddy of mine runs 6 T1 15"s on 3 RF 2000's. Putting out 2400+ all the time.

Putting out 2400+ all the time. After an hour of hard playtime, my coils would get so hot that touching the cone would burn you.You have to realize, i drive 1000 miles a week, with at least 2x, 2 way trips of over 100 mile strecthes each way, so i am talking about extended, daily usage at 1200 watts. Most of the time by myself, so i kept the volume relatively high for hours on end with no relief
