I plan on buying a Hifonics 1606d for a DC lvl 4 18" i was wondering what type of electrical upgrades i would need

i dont want to have to upgrade alt because of the placement of it. i would have to remove part of the tie rod assambly and the hearders on my car to remove

Why a Hifonics?

A battery or two would be fine. Definitely the Big 3.

I wanna go with hifoncs because its cheap and decent sounding

what type of batterys should i use that wont be 2 expensive?

There's better choices. I have seen bxi's and txi's where the components have come off the board and one just burn out completely(undervoltage probably,meh).

but is their any better amps for under 300with near same rms?

No, i wasn't bashing you. Just pointing out you linked another budget amp, i thought you linked to the aq amps in general not just the 1200.

from what iv look at about that Audioque 1200D i think i might get that not quite sure yet though good price too thaks for all the help

AQ is the sister company to DD. Designs are VERY similar, AQ just uses Chines parts and DD uses American parts.

Yes!! Huge difference. DD is all American parts and assembled all in America. Except a few amps.

AQ is Chines parts, and mostly Chines assembled.

I put a 1608D in my Tahoe today pushing 1100W @ 2 Ohms. I also have a 300W 4ch. Even with the big 3 there is significant dimming. A Tahoe alt is probably 135A. The Hifonics amp has 2 70A fuses. Do the math!
