Luxury Liner Pro/ Spectrum Sludge question

I was curious to see what the results would be if i were to put luxury liner under the carpet from the uppermost front footwell area up to the rear of the car. I am sure i would see a noticeable drop in road noise but but would it increase the "plushness" of the carpet? That is part of what i am looking for as the G35 floor doesn't have the plush and luxurious feel i would like.

On that topic, since i am running 245/35/20 and 275/20/20's the road noise is unbearable. Would it make sense to remove the wheel arch linings up front where i notice the most noise and coat them in spectrum sludge or should i pursue a different route in trying to eliminate it, possibly just adding more deadener in the cabin?
