Next week I'm getting install, Infinity 6x8's in the front (componets with external tweeters)Infinity 6x9s in the back, 2 Fi Q 15's, in a sealed box @ 5.2 Cubes The roof will be dynamated the Doors are gonna be dynamated and a 7 band Eq somewhere either in the glove box or console, Anyway Anyone have these Infinitys? I have 7 infinitys in my barracks My question is They will be powered off a cheap sony amp tell my Soundstream TRX 4.420 gets in. If I have the Soundstream's gain turned down will I have any clipping, the componets are references rated at 90 watts rms @ 2 ohms the amp puts out supposedly 105 watts rms the 6x9s are rated at 110 watts rms I just dont want any distortion also with a 7 band what will I set my head unit eq to -6 bass and treble or 0?7 Band is a Soundstream parametric, deck is a Clarion w/2 volt preouts

I have installed the Infinity 3.5's in the dash of my 300C. I have also ordered 6X9's and 6.5's to complete the surround. Just running off of the factory Boston amp, which does pretty well. I went with the Kappas, they also produce the Reference line. IMO, these sound really good! They can be a bit bright for some, and maybe a lil tinny to others but they can achieve high volume with little distortion.

Also, Infinity speakers are produced at 2-ohms, or what their marketing department likes to call "True 4-ohm" to compensate for impedence rise. That being said, you should get efficient use of the power that you supply to them.
