Can I use 12 gauge wire instead of 4 gauge?

for 1500 watts I'd go larger than 4 gauge. I'd do 2 or even 1/0. and please don't run 40 runs of 12 gauge. Just do it right and buy larger wire, save up for a month if you have to. Also, skip the cap and upgrade the battery. Larger battery will be 100 times more effective than a cap.

    if you have to go from the front battery to the back, then i dont have enough (for free that is)... i would have to sell you some. but i may have some short pieces you can have for free
