i came 3rd in my 1st competition with them yesterday with a score of 150.1dBs.. the box used was poorly tuned and installed last minute for the competition.. no testing was ever done..

Advance 2

1st Ronald Suhkbir 154.8

2nd Mohan Ramlochan 152.1

3rd Rene Roberts 150.1

4th Shameer Baksh 150

5th Adrian Boodoo 147.8

the 1st place score was made by a walled off Mazda 323 hatch-back, running a 7000W Cactus Sounds amp and 2 15" Cactus sounds subs..

2nd place was made by 2 95series 15" Digital Designs subs powered by a pair of 5000W Atomic amps!

my personal goal is to beat those DDs :D

Those things are so sexy. I can't to get mine. I am only getting one with 1000 watts to it, but I am sure I will be impressed.

thoe boxes were made for my previous Audiopipe subs, so they are not really a match for the DCs..

they are 5 cubic feet each currently tuned around 46Hz! 3 - 5 layers of fiberglass & resin on the inside and a coat of resin on the outside to prevent the mdf from absorbing water.. double 3/4" mdf baffle.

i have to bring that tuning down to about 40Hz so it would better work in my vehicle.. when i lower the tuning, then i'll make some vids..

wow rene ... i have high expectations , cus i know you know your stuff... will you be ready for the show in may?

i lowered the tuning freq to about 40Hz (net volume dropped to 4.1cu.ft) and just hit a 151.6 on the Audio Control meter this evening..

i believe another 0.5dB is possible with these boxes..

question, what's the best score you guys have seen made with around ~3200Wrms.. my personal goal is 152dB but i not sure if that is high or low for my power..

I did 152.2 with 2.2k and four 12inch jl aduio w3before

And 155 with 4.4 k with four of these 15 lv4.

So i'd say your score is every good

boxes are 4.1cu.ft each tuned around 35Hz..

power comes from a pair of Sundown SAZ1500D amps at 0.5ohms each..

My front stage is a pretty quiet pair of CDT components, they get drowned out quite easily...
