Well I've been designing my box for my 2003 ext cab s10. I've decided to do the sub at a 45 degree angle facing the windshield and do the port the same way. The box is 6 ft^3 after all displacements and the port is 80 in^2 tuned to 30 hz so its about 32in long. The port is angles 45 degree off of the baffle board and goes straight down and makes a 90 degree turn and goes across the bottom. Does it have to be angled the same in the bottom of the box like its pictured below? Is that how you would do it?

I don't think it'll perform how you predict. The air will just try to take the shortest path out, so I think it'll jump catty-corner from the inside to the bottom of the outside. I think you could get it to work eventually, but it would involve a lot of building, testing for the tuning frequency created, adjusting the port, testing for tune, adjusting, etc.

I would probably either use round ports on that angled face and bend them inside or put a slot port in the lower right corner of the vertical face on the bottom, then make it L along the back of the box. or put the port on the top horizontal part in the back. I understand you wanting to try something different, I'm just not sure it's practical.

I believe if you have an angle on 1 side, you add the top length+ bottom length /2 and use the average.... measuring down the center should be the same

I think you would 1/2 the length of where the angle begins... if the short side is 10" and the long side is 12" then 11" port length

but, if you "make up for it" by making the oppsoite end do the opposite, you have to account for both ends... take off double

make a port on the bottom or the rear side ..

I wouldn't have the port opening at the top of the L on the inside of the box, I'd make it vertical.
