April 1, 200916 yr ***you can remove the bars just be careful... on some cars they can really snap at you when you take them off.That's what I was thinking. I'm sure in about a days work you can rig something up with a couple shocks (from SUV rear windows or truck bed tops) and a frame to position and support them.I'm kind of considering this myself but I have so little time as it is, this being added wouldn't be beneficial.

April 1, 200916 yr fudge yea i ripped mine out also with the whole meatal section that the back seat rest on and made a big bed now have a 20 cuft box ported
April 1, 200916 yr In the trunk of my car, there are two bars running across the top of my trunk, that attach to my trunk lid, i suppose its there to adjust tension for my trunk lid, will if i remove those i can get an extra 2" height and that will make a large difference for my enclosure and layout in general. Anyone remove these before?Will take mine out today!
