Hi, is there any difference to building a box with one side being plexi glass? would it change tuning? Is there a special type of glass i need to use?

no difference, use lexan 3/4"+

x2 on lexan.

One thing to remember is the larger the piece of lexan or plexi you are useing the thicker it needs to be. An example would be a 4'x4' piece you would want to use 3/4" to 1" thick. The reason is to minimize it from flexing.
