Posted April 15, 200916 yr So i recently got a pair of DC Audio Subs..1000rms/2000 max.... well i have been told that it since they are a pair of 2ohm subs that a mono amp will not push it to the amps max.. i am looking to spend at the most 350.. I would really apppriciate the help:)
April 15, 200916 yr i dont think theres much for that, but for $425 I would hurry and sign up for the Sundown 2000 presale, 1 con is that youll have to wait till June/July for it, I would recommend the audioque 2200 which is $389 shipped, I dont think youll beat that.
April 15, 200916 yr You will need an amp that does max power at either 0.5, 2, or 8 ohms. Chances of finding a 0.5 stable amp that is affordable are slim. Chances of finding an 8 ohm car amplifier that puts out 2,000 watts is even slimmer. Finding a quality amp that puts out 2,000 watts at 2 ohms is your best bet. I can't think of one you'll find for $350 though.

(I mean it will definitely work, but he said he wants to push them to the max.)
April 15, 200916 yr Pear's amp choices won't work for the impedance load you have, but a Kicker 2500 will.
April 15, 200916 yr Author Well it will be fine if i can not push the subs to their max. But i would really like an amp that will push these babies...The best amp i can get for 350...
April 15, 200916 yr Pear's amp choices won't work for the impedance load you have, but a Kicker 2500 will.I was going to suggest that, but after looking on eBay it's just about more than double his budget.
April 15, 200916 yr I read $550.If it is truly $350 buying subs with those coil configurations wasn't exactly a logical manuver. The OP either gets to spend more than his budget or not realize his goals.

April 15, 200916 yr Author the i want to get these subs because it was basically buy one get the other one free... so would it be best just to keep one.. and sell the other one.. but i really want to have both of them...and if i do sell the other one ... which amp will power sub the most for 350...
April 15, 200916 yr lanzar opti 2k @ .5ohm just under 350 shipped on ebay. lanzar doesnt have a good rep but the opti line is decent. or up your price a little and get a kicker zx1500.1 around 1500w @ 2ohm for about 390 shipped. other than that everything else rated for close to that and in you budget is crap or only 1k worth of power.

April 15, 200916 yr just get the sundown or audioque to power one, you can get a second amp to power the second one later. Who knows, maybe you will be satisfied with one....
