April 18, 200916 yr What does EVERYTHING include? headunit, wiring, subs, box, bass amp, highs, highs amp, battery. The measurements of the trunk is that the internal demensions of the trunk or will that slide through the trunk opening?
April 19, 200916 yr Author Everything includes headunit all wiring electronic system equipment (battery ho alt big 3) subs i can build box if someone will help me design a ported box i can live with the doorspeakers i have because i have the premium sound package and have blaupunkt door speakers but i would like to add an amp to them. and the opening is like 36-38 so i should be able to get 40 in side ways because 42 is the narrowest point thanks ahead of time
April 19, 200916 yr more like the headunit is the most important part of it.no point in amping the factory speakers. might as well upgrade that too.would you like a single or double din? size subs? how many?
April 19, 200916 yr Author The focus is 1.8 din so it has to be single din. the door speakers are factory but there good because there blaupunkt... not ford... and i think the lowend will be a 15" fi q with an aq or ed amp. i just rlly need help with how to build a ported box and what stuff ill need for the electrical equipment
April 19, 200916 yr still wouldnt amp it, but whatever floats your boat. will you be amping your rear fill also?you'll need 2 RCA's, 0 gauge give or take 25-30 feet, 30ish ft of 16 gauge of speaker wire for speakers, 3 ft of 10 or 12 gauge speaker wire for sub and a distro block would really help. some ring terminals. i'd suggest a new battery under the hood, something from kinetik/powermaster/odyssey/deka. i'd get another 10 ft of 0 gauge to do the big 3.
April 19, 200916 yr Author I might let hu run the doors and get kickpanels with a set of comps that i amp. and i should keep stock alt?
April 19, 200916 yr I might let hu run the doors and get kickpanels with a set of comps that i amp. and i should keep stock alt?if you're getting kick panels, just take the speaker out of the door...only update the alt if youre still dimming after the big 3 and upgraded battery.
April 19, 200916 yr Author so w8 just dont use the front speakers cuz there 6x8s... and hu the comps?wheres a good place to buy all my wiring needs cuz i dont have the money to throw $6 a foot on wireing
April 19, 200916 yr there are 6x8 to 6.5" adapters.and yes, if youre getting comps in kicks no point in using the speakers in the door as well IMOknukonceptz for wiring. or sonicelectronix has some good deals also
April 19, 200916 yr Author Thx and would the gain of using an amp for the mids/highs be worth it or would the headunit do fine?
April 19, 200916 yr Author alright heres what i got so far for what i needHeadunit: what do u think of valor 702w? Lowend: Fi Q 15 with an aq1200d ampHighs/mids: infinity kappa rear door and front kick panels comps(infinity kappa also)High/mid amp: ? whats a good cheap oneElectrical/ wiring: Battery Big 3 0 gauge wiring (what size fuse or how do i figure out what size fuse) distro block (fused or unfused) Box: I want ported but ive never built ne thing not sealed so i have no clue how to design one. Btw It will be a long time b4 i have all this but i wanna have everything planned out cuz thats the way i am and if u were to rate this one a scale of 1-10 where would it be thank you for all your help.
April 20, 200916 yr Author yeah i think im leaning towards the aq over the hifonics just because im only going to get one sub and i dont need 2k watts 1200 will be good for 1 fi q 15 now all i need is to get hired somewhere... i cant get chit till i get a job... and its not very easy atm..
