Ok so i have a 10" alpine type E laying around and i have a 66 bug with an amp missing a sub. So i got this crazy idea of building a box for the sub to put in there.

My question, I only build ported for personal reasons but i want to know what should i tune the box too? I'm giving it 1.5ft^3 internal space not counting sub or port. I was originally going to tune to 32hz, i like low bass but i know its only a 10 and not the best, actually i have no experience with alpine. I can only compare it to my RE Audio Sr10 which wasn't to bad with a 1ft^3 box tuned to 30hz in my other bug.

What would you tune this sub too? powered by about 200wattsrms. I also listen to ALL types of music, i like low bass but dont mind the high either. Also i may keep the box and maybe upgrade the sub later, any suggestions. I'm up for lower power subs that sound good, no brands like pyle, jensen, or Fi. JK about the last one haha

I used to have an Alpine Type E 12 in my '94 Protege. Built a 1 cu ft ported enclosure tuned to 36Hz with two 2" round ports. Sounded awesome...played well even down to the 20hz's. Powered with 100 watts.

They seem to work well in a wide range of enclosures...1.5 cu ft I would tune around 40Hz. Don't worry it will still play well to 30Hz.
