Posted April 26, 200916 yr some one give me a little feed back! ive always thought it was best to give each sub its own chamber then slot port in the middle? lately ive seen alot of boxes where the speakers are pretty much sharing one chamber and L-ported towards the drivers side firing back, is this more effiecient sounding? or is this done so the box can fit better?i have a 2002 accord and i want this setup to be good DAILY. dnt care so much for SQ but more so SPL. meaning SPL to the ear ill doubt i ever see a meter. THANKS FOR ANYTHING GUYS
April 26, 200916 yr id fire port (L shape like u described) and sub back and use a common chamber... just because it would be easier to build and u can save some space with a port that follows the side. add some bracing if your running some beefy subs... one of the reasons ppl use a center port are to use the port to brace the box as well. edit: use trial and error to find whats loudest in your car, maybe sub up port back will be louder, etc etc...
