Posted April 28, 200916 yr Ok guys, im in the process of selling my current amp and sub... I have a buyer for my current sub but not the amp... heres the amp... Rockford FosgateP5002I am planning on buying a 15" death row once my sub is sold, along with a new enclosure for it... But my question is... will my current amp be able to push it enough to get sound louder than it is right now hooked up to a 12" w3v3... this may sound like a noob question but i have really never underpowered a sub this much before...
April 28, 200916 yr Author Oh definetly, its just that i am trying to find a buyer for my current amp, but i wanna get the ball rolling yah know? kinda anxious haha. Heres another question... Im planning on buying an aq1200d, or possible a saz-1000d (if i have the money at that point in time). Should i get the 1ohm or 2ohm coils on the sub... im not sure of the difference haha. I wont lie i mean i pretty much have only done mainstream subs and amps, finally stepping up to the big guns.
April 28, 200916 yr Just go with the dual 2 ohms option, you can get a 4 or 1 ohm final load and it will be easier to re-sell if you ever do.
April 28, 200916 yr Author actually i think this answers my question but please correct me if its wrong... i get a 2ohm sub... and wire it like that because the aq and the sundown both go to 1 ohmand i wire it like while i have the rf p5002correct? Edited April 28, 200916 yr by davidg121
April 28, 200916 yr You will have it on the 4 ohms, and then bridge it on the the RF p5002. Then you will get the 500 watts at 4 ohms bridged.
April 28, 200916 yr Author Sweet, you guys have been amazing haha. Almost instant responses. Only reason im not buying everything together later on is that i want to take up that deal that audibel customs is having right now for the free enclosure... U really cant beat that haha
April 28, 200916 yr Author all honesty ive fallen in love the the death row, and ive heard the lethal injection wont be TOO much of a jump up from a w3
April 28, 200916 yr Got the same amp powering my DR 12, you will need more power as I do too! I'm just waiting for box recomendations for the Warden Series first! Before I by the amp.
