Hey guys heres my situation

as of right now i have a rockford fosgate p5002. Ill be using this for about 2 weeks until i get my SAE-1200d.

Doing some research i have come up with this... please tell me if there is a better way.

I will buy two of the 12" LI 4 ohm DVC's

while i have the p5002 i will wire it like this...

2_4ohm_dvc_4ohm.gif

and once i buy the SAE-1200d i will wire it like this....

2_4ohm_dvc_1ohm.gif

Please if there is something wrong with this setup please let me know.

Would there be a benefit of going with 2 2ohm dvcs instead of the 4ohm dvcs?

sounds like a good plan to me

in the first one you are essentially making two 8 ohm subs and wiring them in parallel

the second, you are making two 2 ohm subs and wiring them in parallel

Would there be a benefit of going with 2 2ohm dvcs instead of the 4ohm dvcs?

Not really any benefits, just different options. Like if you had an amp that's final ohm's was 2 ohms then, it would best suit you.

Nope, i mean in each different application. While im using the p5002, and then while using the SAE 1200d

Sorry I'm retarded lol, on the sundown I think each sub would get something like 650-700. I believe it's not really split straight down the middle when you split an amp on multiple subs. I'm still trying to figure this out myself.

just look at the RMS ratings of the amps for each ohm load and divide by 2 (like for the rockford, look at the output bridged into 4 ohms, and obviously the sundown at 1 ohm) I think both of those amps are underrated, so maybe a little bit more. so about 250 watts per sub with the rockford and 600 with the sundown

okay, thats what i figured. I just wanted to double check :) Thanks a lot guys!!!

sundown amps are underrated, so i recommend doing the big 3 on your car, to get a good electrical. i am giving my LI 750rms and it hits soooooooo hard!!!

i ruv it
