Posted May 15, 200916 yr well..recently my grandfather said that he wanted to get rid of his old record thing..so i was like dont give it away to some random...i want it!!..so i got it and i wiped it out....well ...its a cherry wooden box and it opens by use of a lid ..theres a green and a red plug ..looks like rca's middle prong but split..im thinkin its output..but uh...wheres the current go and how do i operate..i really want to get it working and understand vinyl some more.....all help is accepted and will be appreciated,..thanks.brandon
May 15, 200916 yr Author ok i just noticed out of the same hole theres a brown thick cord but its been stripped and theres just isulation -bare wire with no plug..idk what ....?..lol

May 17, 200916 yr Author well i made progress..i opened it up and i installed an outlet plug so the platter spins...i can hear the music from the stylus itself..however there is also a wire(2 actually in a sleeve) it comes from the arm..i tried placing the wires on a headphone to see if id pick up naything..but uh im not even sure if it can run a headphone straight from the pickup...can i hook this up to a reciever and expect anything??
