May 24, 200916 yr I don't know specifics but there was a problem with them failing.Guess I wasn't made aware of this problem? The 40.1's were tanks just like the 20.1's. The reason they were discontinued is so that we can go to the new slim 40.1 that we displayed at SBN.
May 24, 200916 yr this is what i was told a while back when there were reports of a lot of them being repaired.Maybe it was a coincidental speculation.
May 24, 200916 yr You do have to keep in perspective that a ton of IA40.1's were used for SPL competition. Failure is the nature of the sport. People think that just because you can run an amp at .35 ohm for a burp with one battery that it can handle that daily, which in general is not the case......yes a few blew up, but not an abnormal amount when kept in perspective. So, no I would not say that we had a problem with them.

May 25, 200916 yr I beat the crap out of mine at 0.5 daily without any problems. Had them for over 2 years now.
May 29, 200916 yr Why did you guys stop making the 40.1? Also, does anyone have one for sale?Get an Atomic 5000.1, it's almost the same as board structure, and easier to find, unless you strictly want IA
