I want to get 8 gauge speaker wire for my speakers and was wondering if it matter if I use "Power Wire"?

Here is the link. KnuKoncepts Power Wire And if I want 5 feet i would really need to double it for positive and negative so it would come out to 10 feet in quantity, right?

That's what i'm about to do.

I need 95ft though for 4 15s, I'm considering runnin 2 runs of 8awg for every terminal.

Knu is the way to go, i get all my wire/fuses/fuse holder everything from there

You can use that if it will fit into your speakers terminals

My amp is more than 5 ft. away from the box terminal. So i need 8 gauge for the long distance. I'll lose power if get get less thick wire.I know it won't be noticeable but I got the $10 to get it so why not.

my reasons are probably different than his.

if this wire is for your single ICON, you can use 10awg just fine, probably 12 but i'd personally do 10.

For me, it's for comps so totally different reason.

For the OP, i'd stick with speaker wire too. Not necessary to go crazy.

Speaker wire is more expensive though, Not by much but it is.. Why is that? Does "Speaker Wire" already have both runs (Positive & Negative) of wire?

what do u have ..speakers or subwoofers ... and the 5ft is no distance ...(wont loose any signal) ...normaly if u have the amps in the trunk u get more than 10ft ....

yes, u find me some speaker wire that doesnt come as a pair of wires and i'll.... well, you can't, they all do.

Even with the advise to get less thick wire I got the 8 Gauge a sec. ago. I guess you can call me hard-headed.
