Hello to everyone. I just ordered a 15" 187 and i am going to pair it with a sundown sae 1200d. was wondering if I could get some suggestions on what size ported box and tuned to what to build. its going in a jeep grand cherokee so space is not too much of an issue. also any opinions on how it will sound are welcome. My goal is to get the best spl while retaining sound quality.

Great choice in subwoofer and amp. I would go with recommended IA specs. Most have had good luck with sub up and port back.

I was going to say, Nick told me 3.0-3.5, 16 square inches per cube, tuned between 32-35 hz.

Mine is sealed, so I couldn't tell you, but when mine does get ported, it's getting IA spec'd box.

hope your not gonna give the 187 the whole 1000rms, what are you gonna wire it too?

OKay gotcha, yeah those 187's are underrated sub, look forward to the finished result.

Is the box size before or after port and sub displacement?

After displacement, use aeros to save a little space if needed
