Posted June 10, 200916 yr Was wondering if anyone has delt with "THE ROBOT UNDERGROUND" aka Juicyrobot on ebay? This is my question//I have a Orion XTRPRO 2400d that 1 of the output conductors was smoked. I spoke to Chris from db-r and he told me that i had to find another board from that model to get the part i needed. So i remember that when DEI bought Orion/ppi/ads in 2003 they had a auction and "the robotunderground" bought allot of the stock parts/b-stock items. I contacted them and was told to send it in for repair and they would rewind the conductor. I sent it to them on the 13th of may and they emailed me and said they received it and the tech is looking at it. Now i have emailed them 4 times and asked for their # and the techs name and keep getting the same reply (haven't herd from the tech about it yet). Any ideas on what i should do?? Its bin almost a month. Joe
June 10, 200916 yr Are they the same people trying to sell the Adire site? Those are the ones, I would stay away from them
June 10, 200916 yr Author The bad part is i don't have a name or phone# for them just a email address with an A** hole on the other end replying. What awesome customer service they have I think my 9 year old daughter could word their emails better.

June 12, 200916 yr Admin it's becuase it's a dynamic address. Don't worry to much about it, most people outside of web designers don't know what that means.
June 12, 200916 yr Well if you want to see it theirs the link/image code for it.http://i636.photobucket.com/albums/uu88/jj1479/100_1688.jpgLook for alternator / electric motor repair places. They should have the correct wire and the skills to repair it. Simple fix IMO. Never saw such damage before (not counting my melted amp..)

Never saw such damage before (not counting my melted amp..)Ya and the guy that i bought it off of said that it works fine no problems at all. And he never smelt anything like it frying so it was fine when he had it.

June 12, 200916 yr Author Well i just received this email from them. And look its more than 3 words!!"Our guy works out of his house, if he can fix it, it'd only be $120. Still waiting to hear back from him.I know, I know.. You guys are bass addicts. If you could strap the sub do your chest you would.. ;-) Have a good weekend. JuicyRobot is part of the Underground Industries family of brands. RU Ready for The Revolution? - www.Worldwide-Revolution..org/LOOSERS/RETARDS/RIPOFFS Sounds alittle deceiving when they told me that it COULD be fixed. And its only bin well a month.
June 16, 200916 yr Author Well guys i will see in about 5-7 days what kind of work that they do. I received an email to today that my amp has bin fixed and the total is $185 with a new set of power/ground/speaker plugs. I'll have to open her up and see what she looks like. And yes i will post pictures I can't wait to see how it compairs to my crossfire. Edited June 16, 200916 yr by jj1479
June 16, 200916 yr Author Ya especially if it was so easy to just rewind the inductor. But i guess thats what i get for not really looking around for someone else to fix. owell i might just sell it and my crossfire and buy a used sundown 3000d.
June 17, 200916 yr Post some close-ups of the fix. I'm curios to see it. From what I can tell that amp is rather similar to my viper d2500.1 and the inductors have a habit of running hot. Nothing you can do about it either.
