Posted June 11, 200916 yr ive seen sum all plexi glass boxes and there pretty sick. how do u make one? wat would u use to seal it together and how would it sound?
June 11, 200916 yr You would use plexi-glass to make it. You would use an acrylic adhesive to put it together and seal it and it would be $$!
June 11, 200916 yr Make sure you use at least 3/4" to 1" material and let your adhesive set up. In the past I made large acrylic aquariums, planning and prep is everything. Edited June 11, 200916 yr by nmssd12
June 11, 200916 yr Author besides price. im worried on how it would sound. i hear its alot different then using wood.
June 11, 200916 yr Sound can be the same when built right, but instead of $20 worth of wood you might have $1000 worth of glass
June 11, 200916 yr I was comparing 4x8' sheets of MDF with 1" Plexi. By the time you add glue and other stuff it will be closer to $1k than $100

June 11, 200916 yr Plexi and Lexan enclosures are not as acoustically dead as a good solid MDFenclosure...I have built several but price VS performance I would rather spendmoney on other things if not assembled right the Lexan/Plexi enclosures with large pannels sound absolutley AWFULL
