Question. Do passive crossovers need space for cooling?

Reason, I am tired of the HD crossovers being behind the seat. I have seen other installs in the same make and model as my truck with the crossovers mounted on the door between the sheet metal and the door panel. Does or has anyone ran into any problems in this area?

Thanks,

Justin

Example of what I am thinking of doing.

That is fine, but beware that a door is never totally sealed. There is always a greater chance for corrosion in this instance. Just an FYI. It may takle some time before it affects anything, but it WILL eventually happen.

yep..'tis true...after three years, me DS x-over did indeed have rust on the terminals..the PS did not .

but then again...my trucks do see offroad time and i'm sure that speeds that up..lol...
