Posted June 19, 200916 yr Well this is a build for my boy he dosent want anything heavy so this is what i went with. he only wanted one 10" Type E woofer in thereIts a T-Line box tuned to about 40Hz which is not good for the woofer...because i need mooooaar port so here is pix of the box build still not complete but when it is ill have pix and vidsOne big bored of thesecut cut cuti let him cut all the wood so not all of it is 100 percent straight but the sander will take care of itI ran the wire from under the speaker just for a little test run to hear it blow air im surprised it pounds harder then it did when he had 2 of themHERE IS HOW THE BOX STANDS UNTIL THE BONDO IS DRY AND SANDED THEN PRIMEREDMOOOAAAR PORT! as u can see
June 19, 200916 yr Is that partical board? If so id be careful that shit doesn't hold up to well to subs. May be fine with the alpine though. Also did you calculate the port or did you just make it bigger?

Also did you calculate the port or did you just make it bigger?he said he didnt want heavy and im always lookin at like 1"mdf but..for this woofer it will hold up tho if it was anything bigger i would of gone a different route.. as for the port i didnt calculate the first time thats why i came out a little short so as u can see i didnt have much room to play with so i took off about an inch was all i could do

June 19, 200916 yr It looks like you made the right decision since he wants light weight. How far off is the port? Have you taken a listen to it since making the port larger?
