Posted June 20, 200916 yr HiAt first sorry for my language.I have a honda civic coupe 6 generation and my audio is:-Amplifier hifonics BXI 2600D-2x RE AUDIO SE12D4 wired at 1 ohm-Power cap DIETZ hybrid 20F-Alternator 160AmpersSoon I planing to:-do BIG III-add extra battery in the trunk Subwoofers is in the trunk and he is ported, about 2,5-2,8 cubic feat for bouth. They play quaiet good but I want something what play mutch louder. I planed to buy 4x RE SE12D2( cone area is big of 4x12" so a lot of air could be move ) but trunk is not enough big and enclosure will be to small and bass will be not too low(there is no any posibility to tuned low like in manual). At present I have tuned about 50Hz What subs or sub will be good for me? I want to do a hair trik , but sub must be in the trunk. Is there posibility to do a hair trik? What sub/s will be the best for this? Now i planing to buy 2x RE SX15D4 or ewentualy 2x FI 15BTL ( they will be much louder then re but I think that to hair trik a RE will be better). What play music nicer RE or FI? Or maybe you advice my another sub/s?
June 20, 200916 yr Id have to say change your enclosure before you think about buying anymore subs.50Hz tuning probably sounds horrible on music
June 20, 200916 yr Definitely. You have adequate subs, you just need to give them a proper box. 2.5-2.8 cubes isn't big enough for both of those subs in the same enclosure. It needs to be around 4 cubes, and definitely lower the tuning frequency down to around 32 hz.
June 20, 200916 yr Author Yes, I know that an enclosure is not good and tuning is too high. In the past I wanted buy a 4x12 that why enclosure is so small but already I know thet was a mistake and now I want to buy something stronger whitch kick better. So I decidet to buy 2x15 and then make big enough box and tuned much lower. So question is : what sub should I buy?2x12 RE SX or 2x15 FI BL ?? Or maybe something else?Thank you for your time.
June 20, 200916 yr Do you have room for an 8-10 cubic foot box in your trunk? 15s won't play any better than 12s if they are also starved for room.

June 20, 200916 yr Author Do you have room for an 8-10 cubic foot box in your trunk? 15s won't play any better than 12s if they are also starved for room.I think I will get room for about 8 cubic foot but this is max. So what subs should I buy?
June 20, 200916 yr Before you buy any new subs, build a correct box for the ones you have. You may be surprised at how well they sound in the right box and not need to spend the money on new subs.
