Posted June 25, 200916 yr custom 1997 pontiac firebird sub box and amp rack.i decided to build my box and post pics. the amp rack is also made by me. i work at lowes in the lumber dept. so i picked up our oak birch plywood for $5 for a 4x8 sheet in good condition. just was cut into 2x4 pieces and the customer decided not to buy. i have to say the install came out perfect, and it looks great in person. as if a real professional built it.im 19. and me and my dad made this in about 6-7 hours. i wrapped the boxes myself and he helped me put them together. not bad for only my 5th box build.i have to give credit to the person that created the design of the sub box that i made. it helped me alot. he posted a tutorial on this thread. thanks man.besides all the builds on this site are amazing and helped inspire me to come up with something of my own.and the final install............
June 26, 200916 yr Looks like you didn't finish the box. Is it open on one end? If so you really need to get another piece of wood and seal it off. Also use some silicone where the sides meet to help with the seal. I like the way you pre-drilled the holes to run your wire through to your amps it makes for a clean and professional installation...
