Posted May 11, 200520 yr i have 3 seats in the front bench of my truck. when i sit in the middle, the imaging is pretty good. the singer's voice is in the center, guitars/drums/etc in their proper places. however, when i sit in the driver's seat, the horizontal bias is horrible. sometimes i hear the left tweeter a lot since its pretty close to my head (a-pillar), other times i hear my right mid over everything else (maybe cuz its more on axis?). the tweeters arent mounted for perfect imaging rite now cuz i dont have time to glass the flush mount cups to the a-pillars. theyre mounted above ear level and kinding pointing to the stomach of the middle seat so maybe thats the cause? lemme know whatcha think. i will eventually redo the a-pillers. thanks guys <3
May 11, 200520 yr I already told you what to do If you guys wondered:use the time anlignment and mess around with the balance
May 11, 200520 yr Author but theres no separate time alignment for the tweet and mid! i dont understand.is the TA measured from the mid or tweet on the HU?

If your left side (tweet or midbass) is soundlig louder move the balance over to the right a few notches Do the same for the right side when it occures. I know it is a pain to have to constantly change, but if you do not have the time alignment and the imaging isnt correct its really the only thing that I can think of.
May 13, 200520 yr Might want to try changing phasing as well. This has been a huge help to me in the past. Crossover points and slopes as well.
May 13, 200520 yr Author thanx yall. i started my proper A-piller mounting today, gonna glass in the flush mount pods tweets pointing at opposite headrest. i'll let ya know how it goes. will work with phasing/TA if that doesnt help.
May 14, 200520 yr Author i screwed up on the first batch and wasted a lot of the cat's fur. too much hardener on a hot day.now i see why everyone says it gets really hot inside a plastic cup, crazy stuff.
