Posted August 5, 200916 yr has anyone here tried to build an 8th order bandpass. i ask because i have had decent succeswith the 4th and 6th orders but now im thinking of trying a 8th order just for spl and was wondering if anyone had any experience building one
August 5, 200916 yr I've had success with 4th and 6th order. The only time I tried an 8th order it was a train wreck and I realized it has to be PERFECT and will not always output the way it models on a program to the degree most other enclosures do. When I have something to play with again equipment wise I'm going to give it another shot because the design looks like it has potential. Edited August 5, 200916 yr by The Buzz
August 6, 200916 yr I've built one 8th order.... a whole lot of effort and very little payout---in my test/opinion... sounded ok at low volumes but didn't yeild much output...***I could have done something wrong... I've never tried again, 4th and 6th order are much easier to dial in.
