i have a problem guys when ever i turn my mmats pro audio 1500.1 amp on it says protect and wont come out of protect mode i have no subs hooked up so i dont know what it could poosibly be?? any clue???

Check your connections, make sure there isn't a stray wire around the power, ground, or remote wires shorting something out.

If those are ok it's probably a bad amp. Where did you get it? Is it new?

Have you tried plugging speakers in then turning it on?

On most heavy powered amps, they require an actual load on the amp or it could actually damage it!

I can't go into detail why to explain it but i think it has something to do with is seeing a dead short, 0 ohms but i could be wrong.

If that's not it, check voltage at amp's terminals.

If that voltage is decent, 11.5v minimum for example, then something is wrong with it.

Well if he just gave it to you for free that should be an indicator right there. He probably knew it didn't work.
