Posted May 15, 200520 yr Okay, so i get home and i check my email and it says my email in my eBay account has been changed, so i log in and change my email back to original and change my password and when i look to the active bids i see theirs one, when i look theirs a John Deere tractor for sale.... im like wtf? Then i cancel the bid and my gf calls me and i went to her house then when i get back i find my accont suspended? Wtf eBay? Then when i email them about 5-6 times, they respond after 3 days and they tell me the same thing i already know. All they tell me was, "Well according to Section 9 of the User Agreement this and that and blah blah, why would they suspend me when i have nothing but positive feedback. I just want to get this thing straighten out because im very worried, my credit card is on line.
May 15, 200520 yr you may have a trojan on your comp. Do a check, and then change all important passwords. thats my advice.
May 15, 200520 yr Author Well, from time to time it says i have this trojan but my anti virus deletes it but it keeps coming back, iam going to scan all now.
May 15, 200520 yr Author Anyway that trojan could of revealed my password to some one? Wow, this is getting gayer and gayer.
May 15, 200520 yr Author McAfee, up to date and its always detecting things and taking care of them, norton was a pos. When i built my computer i decided to go with McAfee, And iam also firewalled.
May 15, 200520 yr Author Oh, i never played with those. I just dont know how this has something to do with ebay.
May 15, 200520 yr Author 1 trojan found.... i just think some 1 got my ebay pw, bcuz they changed the email and they started to sell that john deere farm tractor for 4g's. what pisses me off is that ebay suspends my account and i will maybe have to pay $45 for that listing.
May 15, 200520 yr Author Its not funny, it was a John Deere farm truck, starting bid of 4grand. The funny thing i that when i cancel the bid, ebay suspends my account idk why. I have all good feedback, idk why they would do that, and in their email they tell me stuff that i already knew, their retarded.
May 15, 200520 yr this has happened to me before.... it is a phishing scam, used to gain your account information. unfortunately you fell for it. ebay never sends notices like that to you. i suggest you contact eBay support, and report it to them immediately... you will have to verify your account with an ebay rep, and they will end any/all the auctions and reverse any charges that may have been incurred. its a good idea to change your password on a regular basis. i always do.
May 15, 200520 yr x2,if you get an email like that.Go directly to the ebay web site and try to log in.Don't click on thier links in the email because they make a page to make it resemble the ebay web site. Same goes for paypal and others.
May 15, 200520 yr heres their number if you want to call and straighten this out.eBay1-800-322-9266and yah, you did fall for a scam. nice one.
