Posted August 17, 200916 yr i have 2 18" treo ssx's my box now is 9.99cf gross with a 100sqin port port is 4x25x21.5 deep after all dissplacements im at 7.68cuft treo reconmends 8cubes after dissplacment im doing a 150.7db at 34hz burp with 1 rd audio d9 amp but can you help me with my new box i plan on keeping it 8 cubes net but what can i do with the port to get more spl but still play low notes and keep it a dailey driver here is a link to treo ssx page click on the view specifications at the bottom of this page for the specs treo web site im running the amp at .5 ohms and this is a hatchback car im doing subs up port back please help me out thanks
August 17, 200916 yr Author Increase port area, about 120 sq. inches is the largest I would go though.so i can go with 8cubes after diss, and 120sqin of port do i keep it 21.5" deep or shorten it? thanks for the fast reply

August 17, 200916 yr Do those 18s really like having only 3.7 cubes per sub? If you increase the box size the system will become more efficient.

If you increase the box size the system will become more efficient.with the new box it will be 4 cubes per sub after all dissplacments and right now they are at 3.7 or 3.8 cube thats why im building the new box this was my first box and some how i did not include the .60 displacment for the subs
August 18, 200916 yr What size does the manufacturer recommend? I've never seen an 18" recommended for less than 5 cubes per sub.
