I have read that thread over the years and there is so much bad info in it.

First, there are 2 types of Lizard Skin

One for noise and one for heat.

The theraml coating is loaded with 4 different types of glass spheres including ceramic and volcanic. Plus it has 2 other mineral filers that helps with heat. Non of this you will get in a house paint.

There is a reason whey LS charges so much for a bucket of that stuff. It is very expensive to make, and there is a lot more to it than simply dumping hollow shperes in to house paint.

I only know this becuase I formulate all the custom coatings that Secodn Skin sells. This stuff is decently complex.
