I'm really new to car audio and i'm going to get a full set up. i need advice on what to get. i want a system for mostly hip hop and rap. I'm on a budget of around $1,600

Max h/u - $550

max speakers - $250

i'll most likely ill get the btl "15 or "12 but i need suggestions on how to order those

i'm pretty lost when it comes to amps and i really need help with them

i also want to get higher quality speaker wire.

any helpful suggestions would really be appreciated

You're new to car audio and you want a BTL !!!

Why don't you start with something more simple?

You'd bettter take your time!

Read all you can on these ssa forums, get the more informations you can.

After that, you will be able to ask the good questions!

500 for a head unit : that's a lot for a USA buyer(in the USA/Canada the hu are so cheap).

look around and come back posting later!!!!!!

Lookin to start off big huh? Ive gone through a lot of systems and subs and Im just getting into something as nice as the BTL. If you dont know already you are venturing into a high spl sub, pretty crazy choice for your first system and install. If you must then you can order those from ficaraudio.com

If I was just starting my first system and I liked a lot of bass, I would start small especially if Im installing it myself. The SSA store is a good place to start. A couple of 10" or 12" icons or dcons and an saz1000 would be good.

The kenwood excelon kdc-x 493 is less than $150.00 and it's a pretty nice HU. Skip the BTL, your budget wont allow it.

Now you have $1450 to spend.

SSA store combo deal 15" Icon/1000D Sundown $580.

Nice component speakers $300

Sundown 50.4 is on sale $200

You now have money left over to buy RCA's, wire, etc.

The 50.4 is a kick ass amp. Its got more controls than the starship enterprise. Want another one but dont need it. Never stopped me before!

That combo deal is very nice also. Just go slow and buy right.
