Posted August 24, 200916 yr Okay, so I got my 12' Pioneer subs a few weeks ago and I put them into an old box that I made for my other system a while back. After a few days of listening to music on my current setup, I noticed that my woofers were not hitting the lows AT ALL and I am a big fan of C&S Music so this was really disappointing for me. I ran all the parameters if the sub in bass box 6 and my recommended tuning frequency is like 21 Hz. Am I doing something wrong here? Also, Could anyone really help me out and just give me a quick rough draft of a suitable box design for this application. The specs on the sub are here http://www.pioneerusa.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/TS-W3002D2_InstructionManual1120.pdf. I would be running about 1500 rms to each sub.

August 24, 200916 yr i am not a box guru, but the guys that are .......they are not going to even post a response to this thread without alot more info.... vehicle type, space useable (like overall dimensions), a link that works for specs on subs, number of subs ( one could assume two, but that whole assume thing..) well you know. the 21 hz is pretty dang low.......perhaps too low for what you need. i would suggest loading this post with info ( the guru's love that stuff) and then see what they come up with for you. good luck ,chop.

My vehicle is a 1997 seville sedan. The max dimensions of the trunk would be 18' tall by 41' wide by 33' long. I would be running 2 of these subs. http://www.pioneerusa.com/StaticFiles/Manuals/Car/TS-W3002D2_InstructionManual1120.pdf is the link that works.
August 24, 200916 yr no problem, your looking better ......... now the wait, then more questions, lol.
August 24, 200916 yr 40 hz is way too high for anything resembling lows. If you want to stick with ported, try 30 hz tune.
August 24, 200916 yr I would try tuning somewhere around 30-35hz. Edited August 24, 200916 yr by OldSkool_08
