I was wondering do yall use the loud button on the head unit???

Don't use it. Ever.

or should i just leave the loud button off and adjust the gain on the amp for sub?

Dont use it. Ever.

The loud function boosts the high and low frequencies. It is useful for low volume listening to help it sound a little better. It should be off when setting gains.

If you set with the loud off, dont use it a high volume or you will more than likely start clipping.
