Spec wise that is a good machine. I just hope you are not going to pay that much ;)

Here is basically the same machine spec wise(except the toshiba has 1g ram :D), but its a toshiba and $400 cheaper...

that Toshiba has a WXGA screen while the Acer has a WSXGA screen which my friend says is way better, the Acer also has higher resolution and dedicated video memory and not shared like the Toshiba

Kickin, what have you heard about Acers? no one i've talked to really knows about them

I've only messed with their old pc's and laptops and they blow. I dont know anything about their new stuff, nor do I know chit about their company. I'd just do some looking before you bought from a not to popular company.

well my friend gave me a list of specs to look for based on what i'll use it for so if you guys know of anything that meets these, let me know, thanks
