Posted November 4, 200915 yr I'd like to start this post off by apologizing for all the crazy posts about which sub to pick and what to do with it.Even if you don't believe me (frankly, I have a hard time believing myself) I think I've decided I'll start off with 2 10" kicker cvts. If I don't like them, they're cheap enough that I could deal until I decide on an upgrade. My real question is though, if I was to do two 10's ported, at as close to 2 cu ft. after displacement, what should I tune at? I've heard people say that kickers like to be tuned to the mid 40's, but I like lows a lot. Do you think that 36-37hz would hit low enough for me? I'm not going for pipe organ lows or anything, just rap lows. Like Jeezy, and Lil' Jon and other stuff. Now, if 44-45hz will hit those, that's fine with me. I've just never been that good with determining that. I'd love to hit the low in Young Jeezy- White Girl, or especially the low in "Put On". Thanks

November 11, 200915 yr I had an old school kicker cvr 15" in a 4.0 cuft enclosure in my car, it was tuned in the high 30's. it hit hard & near low. if you want to go low enough to listen those jeezy's etc I suggest you try the lower 30's. be aware that there are some rap songs that stretch as far as in the 20's (jeezy's "white girl" & "put on") so to avoid damage to your subs set your subsonic filters to about a 3-5 hz below your enclosure tuning frequency.
