Posted November 12, 200915 yr I have an 02 mazda protege sedanI'm planning on making a custom kick pod out of fiberglass for my front doors.I'm going to put my hertz mlk 165 (6.5'') midbass component drivers into the kick pods. Will be ran off of an eclipse EA4100 amp bridged to 150w x 2 (for now)I like listening to rock music with a lot of bass around 80 hz.My sub is a dc lvl 4, ran off of a sundown sae1200, Right now its in a ported box tuned to 32 hz, but I'm probably going to be building another box sometime (idk what kind)what type of enclosure would be the best encolsure for my midbass drivers?I can make a sphere-shaped enclosure; does shape matter for a sealed box?while we're at it, what type of enclosure would get me the best response for 40-100 hz on my subwoofer? Is it worth while to make a box for tweeters? Or should I just use the chamber things they came with?

Use what they gave you or be a little creative. A box just sounds ugly.
November 12, 200915 yr That isn't a midbass.Subs shouldn't play to 100hz.You don't need an enclosure for your midrange, IB would be best.
November 17, 200915 yr Most midbass is designed for large area like your doors. You may end up sounding worse but using an enclosure for them.
