So I have a 2007 silverado crew cab and want to put 1 12" Fi BL with all the upgrades and a sundown 1200d in there.

My deminsions for what I have room for are 55"long x 15"deep x 4.5" tall at the back and 8" at the front of the seat to the floor. In the middle its 6.5"

Im going to probably lift the seat about 1/2" as thats how much thread I have to work with and theres no seat raising brackets yet for my truck.

Im looking to do the 12" in a downfire ported box

Can someone tell me if this would work or not?

My sub would be 6.5" deep and my depth of the box is Im thinking going to be right about that.

Whats the net volume that you have after all displacement? What is your freqency range?

Downfiring? Not really.

Assuming you had a full 8.5" across the whole seat you'd be left with.

1.5" for mdf, 3" for clearance, 6.750" for the woofer, 1" for pole vent clearance. Seems to me you are almost 4" short and you don't actually even have a full 8".

You are going to have to upfire into the seat, or forward fire to get something that deep to fit unless of course you measured wrong. My '02 has more height than that.

Get some threaded couplings that are the same thread as your nuts that hold the seat in place, thread them over the existing bolts, and use some threaded rod to extend them. Use some fender washers on the "new" bolts, and reuse your existing nuts to hold the seat down. You'll wind up with a lift the same height as the length of the threaded couplings, most likely about 2 1/2" for a 1/2" bolt, if I'm mistaken. If you wanted to go higher, you could always fab up some brackets using 2" or 3" C-channel, you could even offset the seat forward/backward or left/right by moving your mounting holes - I did this for a little old man who couldn't see over the steering wheel of his Dodge truck.

Of course, this wouldn't work if your brackets bolt in at angles, instead of completely vertically.

I have a 2009 crew cab. im trying the same thing right now. i have eights under my seat now. i decided to raise my seats about 4 inches to fit 2 fi bl 12s.

what you need is 12x1.75 metric nut coupler and some all-thread. i am building currently a 3.5 cube box and looks like it should fit good.

I dont know cause Im not sure how much the wood would take away. And how do I know my frequency range?

I wouldnt mind doing a forward fire box aslong as the sub can be protected from people getting in the back seat. How can that be done?

And the 07s have less room than the 99-06s
